Vincent Heidinga and Jeroen Ligthart joined forces, merging their activities, and created the company that developed into what it is today. The company was named ‘Clansman’ and gained it’s own development team by acquiring Eeble Internet Innovations. The new start-up focused primarily on online activation for companies active in e-commerce and travel. The company grew fast, and was housed succesively in small offices in Zwolle, Zaandam, and Utrecht.
In view of it’s rapid growth, the company had to prepare for bigger projects. In 2011, all systems were renewed and the move to the new head office was prepared. This year, the company took fifth place in the Deloitte Technology Fast50 and received a golden FD Gazelle for being one of the fastest growing companies in the Netherlands.
At the start of 2012, the company moved to its new head office in Utrecht. The offices in Zaandam and Zwolle were closed and the personnel was brought together in Utrecht. The client portfolio started to shift to top brands and multi-channel retail. The company took seventh place in the Deloitte Technology Fast50 and, won a FD Gazelle and a High Growth Award.
In 2013, the market position in cross-channel retail grew rapidly by attracting clients including V&D, WeFashion, MS-mode, Mexx, HEMA, and Phonehouse. This was also the year in which Test Exclusive was launched, and the company once again ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast50. The activities developed from services into delivering turn-key marketing solutions.
From the start of 2014, the company started to prepare for the next phase, focussing on internationalization and market development.
The company name Basebuilder was registered and began to be used for international operations. The main company systems were improved and renewed in order to be able to serve big multinational companies all over the world. The company was once again rewarded with a High Growth Award.
Since 2016, we have seen the implementation of our improved and renewed systems pay off with great results! Basebuilder is now able to create campaigns that fulfil their clients omni-channelling objectives. We have reached 25 million unique participants through more than 600 campaigns.
